To enable students to master a vocabulary of 2410/2800/2850 common Chinese words and 180/100/185 grammar points through listening, speaking, reading and writing, as well as culture tours in Beijing every two weeks, plus a further tour in a different Province of China every semester with optional courses in Business Chinese, HSK guidance, calligraphy or folk music.
This popular two year course not only helps students with Chinese language, but also to understand Chinese culture and China’s current affairs within the international community. Students who pass the examinations will receive a diploma in Chinese language offered by Huaqiao University (partner school of BLCC and a national key university in China) and can continue undergraduate studies in Huaqiao University without taking an entry exam.
The Hànyǔ Shuǐpíng Kǎoshì (HSK), translated as Chinese Proficiency Test, is China's only standardized test of Standard Chineselanguage proficiency for non-native speakers. An HSK certificate is valid without any limitation in China.
This course is to improve students’ overall level of Chinese language by strengthening their practical Chinese skills. Students can reach HSK level 4 to 6 within one year.
Traditional Chinese Painting Camp and Calligraphy Camp
Traditional Chinese Painting Camp and Calligraphy Camp are specially designed for students who are interested in Chinese painting and Calligraphy. These courses are given by experts from the Palace Museum. An art assessment test will take place at the end of these short-term programmes and a certificate will be issued to those who pass.
